With more than 25 years experience in aerosol modelling, we contribute to
projects, which aim to improve air pollution and climate change forecasts.
By improving the source codes for atmospheric composition (aerosols and trace gases) used in the
ECMWF's Integrated Forecasting System (IFS),
e.g., through the
HYGEOS-led
CAMS2_35
and the HORIZON Europe: CAMS AERosol Advancement,
CAMAERA (101137682),
we serve the public through improved model predictions.
CAMAERA will provide, for the Copernicus Service for Atmosphere Monitoring, strong improvements of the aerosol modelling capabilities, of the assimilation of new sources of data and of a better representation of secondary aerosols and their precursor gases. To achieve this, the project will develop new prototype service elements in close collaboration with the CAMS service providers and other projects.
